Restoring an Acorn Skiff

Acorn’s are amazing boats designed by Ian Oughtred. My Acorn- GOATWATER is an efficient & fast row boat. It always looks sexy! She has a Gunter rig for sailing . I have rowed and sailed her in open choppy water in the West Indies, as well as the current ridden Hudson River in New York. Through out the Carribean waters, Bahamas coast line and New England’s tidal harbors she has taken me safely back and forth to my boat. I extensively explore the shallows waters of these areas. SOOOOOO when goatwater got banged up by a ferry boats wake, Julien set madly to repairing her plywood stakes. He to has grown madly in love with my little boat.

Plans for this speedy, light skiff can be bought at the Wooden Boat Store.
