Handcrafted Leather Sandles

Ever since I left the Virgin Islands, I have been looking for handcrafted leather sandles. It seemed no one made them on the east coast. I ended up sending my old pair back to Zora in St Thomas. Last week, while in P-Town I stumbled upon Victor Powell’s workshop. His sandles are handstiched handcrafted pieces of art- made to your foot.

He has an assortment of styles

both sandles and bags- big chunky last a lifetime kinda work.

What I loved about Victors is that you can see the whole process in front of your eyes. The smells, sounds and textures that invade the nostrals and eyes are pleasing. These smells combined with the light ( from the harbor) made me not want to leave. The workshop room is flooded in natural objects and cape cod light! Can’t wait for my sandles…..
